The Lady Mayoress's Musical Feast Tuesday 24th October 2023 6pm.
I am writing to invite you to join us at Mansion House on Tuesday 24th October for a Feast of Music performed by young people from a wide variety of charities and organisations supporting music education for all, regardless of background, from the very young to those starting out in their careers. Music teaching has so many benefits for the healthy development of young people. It has been proven to enhance learning across the curriculum, to encourage perseverance and resilience and, through group playing, to help students develop social skills such as teamwork, communication and responsibility. Perhaps more importantly, in a world where children’s mental health seems to be increasingly challenged, music can bring confidence and self-belief and an outlet in times of both joy and sadness. The main purpose of the evening is to showcase and CELEBRATE the wonderful work of our participating charities and organisations, but we hope also to raise some funds, to be shared between them all. To this end, there will be a raffle, so do bring some means of payment! You will be welcomed with a glass of champagne and canapés in the Salon from 6pm, and further refreshments will be provided during the interval. The concert will take place in the Egyptian Hall. Tickets are £100 each. To book please click here:
I hope you will come and enjoy the fun
