Dear Claire, Debbie, Mary and others
Many thanks for organising such an interesting tour of St Paul’s this afternoon. I learnt many fascinating details about the cathedral which I will now try to remember and impress my family when we next visit! It was a lovely first introduction to City Consorts for me and good to see old friends and meet new ones. I look forward to your next event.
The Sung Requiem Eucharist was a beautiful service and I felt quite privileged to light a candle in memory of my parents and take part in communion. It was wonderful to enjoy the service from the reserved seats at the front of the dome. Please do pass on my thanks to Patrick and Valerie Wilkins for managing to secure us such excellent seats.
Thank you again ladies for all your hard work in putting on today’s event.

The 1st Anniversary with a short Annual General Meeting of the City Consorts, was held on the 5th September 2018 at the delightful venue of Bakers' Hall. This was attended by members, with the presence of our delightful Lady Mayoress Samantha Bowman and of course our eminent Chairman Von Spofforth and her Committee.
This was an ideal Hall as we Mistresses/Consorts gathered to witness this special occasion. Reports were read and seconded and Apologies recorded together with relevant thanks delivered to various personnel attending.
It is ideal to say that our charming Chairman Von Spofforth had every reason to smile. All her City Consorts members were delighted to be there and thrilled that their involvement with this Society had turned out to be so successful. Every Mistress/Consort already in office and a Member of this progressive Society had a reason to be grateful for the support given while settling into their new posts. This has been followed by meeting and enjoying the friendships which have followed whilst giving each of us the confidence to attend the numerous functions ahead supporting our Prime Wardens/Masters. Even, I would add, to organizing a function for Livery Mistresses/Consorts.
Claire Chitty as Secretary also deserves an immense debt of gratitude. Involved with her very busy and exhausting nursing career she has managed to carry out our banking payments and ensured we members, received regular reports and updates on planned events.
Sincere thanks were expressed to Claire as well.
After the various Reports given by the Treasurer and Committee Members we were all able to enjoy a welcome glass of bubbles followed by a truly excellent luncheon.
To end our gathering, Von had asked her close and best school friend to entertain us with a song or two. This proved a SUPERB climax as Fridal, a beautiful Mezzo Soprano swung into action, after I would add, cleverly rectifying an electrical problem, with much humour!
Well, was there a Member attending who didn't enjoy her amazing performance? NO. We listened, toe-tapped and sang and thoroughly loved her amazing voice and brilliant entertaining personality.
A truly superb way to end the 1st AGM and 1st Anniversary Celebration of our City Consorts Association.
The Worshipful Company of Gold and Silver Wyre Drawers.
With my personal thanks for "being there" for me.
What a great visit to Freemasons Hall and the meal after. So much to organise and yet a very smoothly run event.
C2 has been my passport to enjoying and sharing John's year as the Master of his Livery.
So many absolutely lovely ladies and some gentlemen who are great company at all the formal gatherings we are invited to.
And your arranged gatherings are so constructive in breaking shyness as each individual enters their year.
So thank you and Claire Chitty together with your Committee for making C2 a required membership for every prospective Warden, be they male or female.

Thank you and all the committee, and especially Patrick, for organising a most interesting tour of Freemasons’ Hall, and lunch.
A most enjoyable day.
Looking forward to seeing you soon.
Just a follow up note to thank you again on behalf of everyone who helped arrange and support the visit to Freemasons' Hall yesterday and the pub lunch afterwards. What a wonderful building, so rich in history, such magnificent and unique architecture and with such a deep significance to the Freemasons themselves. And a special thank you to Past Master Baker Patrick Wilkins for his insight into the building, and the society, which made the whole event so much more than just a simple visit to the hall. Many thanks and many thanks too for all the ongoing work that so many people are doing behind the scenes on newletters, websites, events etc.
Thank you so much for organising a fascinating tour yesterday, of Freemasons Hall.
I learnt so much and met so many interesting people at lunch- a much appreciated first visit for me!
with thanks to all concerned, and best wishes
Thankyou for the recent tour of the Freemasons hall,it was very interesting .
The building is extremely grand and at times overwhelming in the scale of the rooms particularly the grand hall .
The guide was so willing to answer questions and the general feeling of enlightenment and sharing came through.
I also had not appreciated the scale of charitable giving in such practical ways that took place.
Altogether a very enlightening experience for me.
The lunch after a wobbly start was a great success ,and thankyou for accommodating the early leavers.
Just wanted to say that the tour of Freemasons Hall was incredibly interesting and what a beautiful building. I met some really friendly other consorts too. Please pass my thanks onto the organisers.
I have been reading the tips section on the website and they are really very good. So thank you for those too.
What a wonderful time we had this afternoon! It was so very interesting, and so very enjoyable. We were looked after beautifully, very well fed and watered, and I learnt so much. And how blessed we were with the perfect weather, all of course your doing! It obviously required an enormous amount of planning and organisation, and you did that perfectly.
Thank you so much, it was all fabulous, and I met old friends, and made new ones, that is what it is all about!
Hoping to see you soon, all best wishes,
What a day! You organised superb weather, delicious lunch (especially those fudge brownies) and a great guide in Sean. We saw so many different buildings and were given interesting information about each without being overloaded – perfect! I have warned J about the walk (I must admit to feeling a bit footsore!) but said he must go on it if he can, when he becomes Master. It is such a good way to get to know both the Halls and people; I had some lovely conversations as we explored the City!
Thank you again, it was a great day!
