EVENTS

We enjoy an annual programme of varied activities which gives lots of opportunities to meet and get to know other members. These social events are central to the ethos of City Consorts. Not only do they give opportunities to socialise – a key skill for a Consort - they also provide opportunities to explore the many aspects of being a Consort with others.  An additional delight is that there is always something interesting to explore as members come from many different backgrounds, interests and experiences.

The forthcoming events are posted on the web site, so you can pop the dates into your diary.  There is normally a ‘calling notice’ from the Secretary to each member, with a booking form for the event, to be completed and returned.

The events take many forms. They can be day-time or evening events, and usually include refreshments which can vary from a lunc h with wine and chocs, to nibbles and drinks. Usually there is an activity of some sort linked in with the event which might include for example: a visit to somewhere in the City; a demonstration; a discussion or Q and A session; some entertainment; a speaker; or some information given out relevant to the Consort’s year. Plenty of time is made available to chat with other Cons orts.

Our members find them incredibly enjoyable and helpful as you will see from the feedback by clicking on: Members' Experiences
